Happy Holidays!

It's way past time for an update...sorry to those that have been faithfully checking the blog. Life is busy and has a way of getting away from us at the Norris house. :)

We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Dothan visiting family...Jackson was actually there a week before the rest of us soaking up some grandparent time. He had so much fun, as always, and we were really glad to hug our sweet boy on Tuesday when we got to Dothan! On a sad note, my grandmother unexpectedly passed away Wednesday. She was 86 and had lived a long life - I think she was just ready to be with my granddaddy in heaven. The twins had a great time playing with their cousins and exploring Mimi's house. In fact, one night the twins were too quiet. Mimi and I looked all over for them. Eventually they were found in Mimi's bathroom playing in the toilet. They were having a great time! Laughing and soaking wet - they had even gotten water all over the walls. it was pretty funny (in a gross kind of way). We had to change their clothes and when I set William on the floor he took off back towards the toilet!
The twins are full of personality and lots of fun. The say mama, dada, hi, bye and William just started saying uh-oh. Maggie doesn't talk as much, but follows instructions better. It's interesting to see their differences and to know that though one may do something before the other, they're both "normal." We haven't seen any "twin-talk" yet. They are happy babies and LOVE mealtime better than any other part of the day. They've gotten into a bad habit of yelling/squealing when they want something so I've started doing some simple sign language with them. It seems to be helping!
While we were in Dothan Brandon and his brother Trey decided to camp out at Circuit City Thursday night to be the first in line for Black Friday sales...never mind that we weren't trying to get any big ticket items :) They were number 1 & 2 in line and had a great time hanging out together. They did get some good deals which made the long, cold night worthwhile!

Monday was grandmother's funeral in Montgomery. It was a really nice service. My dad made the comment that our family was getting smaller, but Brian and I were quick to point out that we'd added five new family members in 3 years time :) I have many fond memories of grandmother that I hold close to my heart. She was loved by us all and loved us back...I think that signifies a pretty good life!

About a month ago Brandon was given a promotion at McKesson. I am very proud of him and the work that he does. He has a great reputation as a go-to guy and really puts his all into the job that he does. Congratulations, Brandon!!
This past weekend we put the Christmas tree up and wreaths on the windows. Everything looks so pretty! Jackson hung the stocking in his playroom since we can't have them on the mantle for fear that the babies will pull them and their holders down. Jackson has had a great time with Christmas this year. We have "Frazzle," our Elf on a Shelf out and he's watching Jackson to make sure that he's a good boy...what a great behavior modification tool :) Jackson loves to come down in the morning to see where Frazzle is sitting (he changes places every night after he gets home from reporting the kids behavior to Santa at the North Pole). Brandon is taking tomorrow off and we're going to Jackson school Christmas program. We plan to also get a couple projects done. We've finished all our Christmas shopping and now the presents just need to be wrapped. I hope that we'll have our Christmas card picture taken this weekend so I can get them in the mail. Lastly, Jackson is turning 4 on 12/16!! I'm making a Pirate Ship cake for his party (gulp!). :)

Hope you all are well. Pictures coming soon :) If you join Facebook you can see pictures of our family - it's not just for high school/college students!! :)
